Last month, one our of furniture vendors – Massoud – invited 5 of our designers to Dallas to visit their factory and get an insight on the process and construction of their furniture.
Massoud has been a Dallas based company, family owned and operated for over 50 years. All of their pieces are created right there in the factory and the quality difference you see immediately.
Tonya Fischer, the new VP of merchandising is bringing new excitement to the line and asked us for our opinions on fabric stories she has been creating. What we think would our customers would like best and bring the most attraction to the market. Going through the thousands of fabrics was a dream for our designers!
Inside the factory, we were able to see each stage of construction. From fabric choices, patterns being cut, leather selection, kiln dried hardwood frames with the hand painted finishes, and meticulous craftsmanship ,All of the materials are purchased from domestic sources; the wood, fabric, springs, foam, and nails all originate in America.
It was truly an wonderful experience being able to see the process on the front line and all the detail that goes into each Massoud piece. Our designers learned so much and were enlightened seeing it hands on. We are so thankful to the Massoud’s and their staff for showing us a lovely time in Dallas and highlighting a few new pieces of their furniture on our showroom floor!
